My name is Hermes. Pronounce it however you want, but if you’re really going to grill me about it, it’s pronounced “Hurr-Meez” but I’ll also accept the following: Hehrr-mess, Err-May, Air-Mess, Herms, Herty or Hey dude.
I am an Art Director, Designer and Illustrator with over 16 years of experience within the agency and entertainment space. Print, digital, on-air, experiential events, brands, I’ve kind of done them all. You may ask yourself, “Wait a minute, you mean to tell me you’ve done EVERYTHING in your portfolio?!” No, silly! I couldn’t have made everything without the help of fantastic people that I’ve credited on each project! Team work makes… the clichéd line… yadda yadda yadda.
I was originally from the Philippines and moved here when I was about 7 or 8 (don't worry hiring manager, I'm a U.S. citizen). Can't really remember as I was too busy being Filipino. I like watching cartoons, punk rock, hosting living room comedy shows, wearing a lot of stripes, eating snacks and talking about funny stuff.
I got into doing what I'm doing now because I always thought that I'd be this awesome animator or astronaut, but none of those went my way so instead, I do things that get me close enough to reaching for the stars and bringing my imagination to life. Come on and SPACE out with me.
